I did my schooling in Mysore, Karnataka,India, in Nirmala School and Marimallappa school.Then I did my PUC, in Maharani’s college, Mysore, with CBZH ( chemistry, botany, zoology, home science) as options. I did my under graduation in Home science, with food science and nutriion as specialization in the same college, under the University of mysore, where I secured 10 th rank for the university and was awarded with two gold medals – The Krishna Bai Gundopanth Award and The Sumathi Sreenivasan Commoration Award. I graduated in thw year 2001. I did my post graduation from the University of Mysore in Food Science and Nutrion and graduated in the year 2003 with distinction.
Later I worked as visiting faculty in VHD, Central Institute of Home Science, Bangalore,Polytecnic college – hotel management, Bangalore, VLCC Institute, Bangalore. I have directed food science, nutrition,research methodology and dietitics. Presently I am into diet counselling.
Presently I have finished my doctorate studies in “studies on inflammatory bio markers of cardio vascular risk in type 2 diabetes mellitus and their nutritional modulation” under the guidance of Dr.Asna Urooj, Chairperson, Dept, Food Science and nutition, University of Mysore, Mysore.
I have published articles in various journals and have been awarded with Fedrick Banting Research award for the contribution in studies in diabetes in the year 2015.
